Isaiah 21:6 For thus hath the Lord said unto me, Go, set a watchman, let him declare what he seeth.
Christian; like it or not we are God’s watchman for the day we live in. We are so obsessed with worldly image that we have forgotten godly character. Jesus said in Matthew 5:14 “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.” We are not to hide from the world around us neither are we to blend in with it. We are to declare what we see and report what the word of God has to say about it.
Those of us who know Jesus as Lord and Savior realize we are living in the days that lead to the rapture of the Church and the seven year tribulation period. It is sad to see the Church repeat what Paul dealt with in Thessalonica. These folks were so convinced the Church was going to be called away they sat down and quit working for God. I am afraid that has happened to the Church today. We have no burden for the lost, we don’t support missionaries, we have no honor for the pastors and preachers, too many pastor’s and preaches have turned away from their calling and they are pursuing a religious prosperity at the expense of the souls of unsaved men and women. Before the lost can be saved the Church must be revived!
I can’t speak for anyone other than myself; I am one of the Lord’s watchmen! I hope you are, if not I pray you will seek revival and ask God to place the fire of a watchman in your heart. Our government is corrupt, our financial system and leaders are greedy and dishonest, and our citizens have lost their desire to be a godly nation. Will you join me as a voice crying repent and in prayer ask for God’s movement upon the people of this nation.
We have a responsibility to point out sin, call for repentance, point out righteousness and call for it to be followed, to love one another as the Lord first loved us also we must expect our leaders to follow God’s word as authoritative for making and enforcing laws within our borders. We are a Christian nation; we were founded as such, regardless of what the progressive thinkers try to twist history into. It is time for God’s watchman to unite and declare what we see.
